Hello!

 

I'm Kate, a creative soul with a passion for design, drawing, painting, crafting and making.

 

I studied Textile Design at Manchester Metropolitan University and have been working as a Surface Pattern Designer for more than 20 years. I first worked as an in-house designer for a studio in Manchester, UK and have since spent the past decade working freelance, designing for companies around the world.

 

I now work from my garden studio in beautiful Dorset, creating surface patterns for a wide variety of products and making original artwork.

 

I’m inspired by historical textiles from around the globe and my surroundings closer to home, often drawing inspiration from flora and fauna, the ever-changing seasons and stunning landscapes. When I’m not working, I can be found exploring the Dorset hills and coast.
